Cheerful Give — Sub-processor List
Last updated: 12 July 2026
Cheerful Give (A Latty trading as “Cheerful Give”) uses the third-party sub-processors below to deliver the Services. Each processes personal data only to provide its service to us, under contractual data-protection terms and appropriate transfer safeguards. We give charities at least 30 days’ notice before adding or replacing a sub-processor (see our DPA).
| Sub-processor | Service provided | Personal data processed | Location(s) | Transfer safeguard | More info |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Stripe (Stripe Payments UK, Ltd / Stripe, Inc.) | Payment processing for donations and licences; fraud prevention; recurring billing; refunds | Card/payment data (collected directly by Stripe); donor & customer name, email, and — for Gift Aid — postal address, passed as payment metadata; payment/customer/subscription IDs | UK, EU (Ireland), USA | UK IDTA / EU SCCs per Stripe DPA; PCI-DSS Level 1 | stripe.com/privacy · stripe.com/legal/dpa |
| Cloudflare, Inc. | Hosts and runs the Cheerful Give backend service (api.thegiver.dev), its edge network and key-value data stores, through which donation data passes | Donor data in transit; per-site connection tokens/secrets | USA / global edge | EU SCCs / UK Addendum per Cloudflare DPA | Cloudflare DPA · Privacy policy |
| Resend (Resend, Inc.) | Sends transactional emails (e.g. add-on/licence keys) to purchasers | Purchaser email address; email content | USA | EU SCCs / UK Addendum | resend.com/legal/dpa · Privacy policy |
Notes
- Card data is entered directly into Stripe’s hosted fields and is never received or stored by Cheerful Give.
- Transactional donor and admin emails are normally sent through the charity’s own WordPress site / mail provider, which is the charity’s own processor — not a Cheerful Give sub-processor.
- Mailsync. Enabling our Mailsync add-on transmits opted-in donors’ email address and name to the charity’s own Mailchimp or MailerLite account, connected with the charity’s own API key. Those providers are the charity’s processors, not Cheerful Give sub-processors — our software only transmits the data on the charity’s instruction.
- A charity’s own website host, and any other email/CRM tool the charity chooses to export mailing-list opt-ins into, are likewise the charity’s sub-processors, not Cheerful Give’s.
